Waffles

On a typical morning, Jacob eats yogurt for breakfast. It's his favorite. He also enjoys cereal (Rice Krispies "blue cereal", Lucky Charms "red cereal" which is really Cheerios with a few LC's sprinkled on top - sneaky mommy!, and Honey Nut Cheerios "orange cereal" - see a trend here?) and baked goods. Yesterday morning, before he even yelled out his customary "Mommmmmy!!! Get up!!!!!" I heard him say, "Waffle?" Which was followed by "MOMMY!!" I taught him how to press down the lever on the toaster (mistake! - he likes to hover his hand close by - the day is near when he's going to burn himself. bad mommy!) so he likes to make his own waffles now.

Jason left for work early and Jacob had waffles with Elmo while I got ready for work.
They were watching an annoying phonics video called "Letter Factory." At least it's educational.

While I was getting ready in the bathroom, Jacob came running in with Elmo and thrust him at me and said, "Elmo eat waffle!" Sure enough, there was Elmo with a waffle in his mouth!

I think he liked it. There were crumbs left in his mouth afterward. HA!
